![]() The sleep timer is great for making sure that Spotify doesn't kill your phone's. Neither does the music fade away as dreams take over, it rather just stops. The Spotify app has a sleep timer feature which will automatically turn off your music after a set amount of time. Once its playing, tap its banner at the bottom of the screen to open the playback controls, then tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen. An on-screen notification will say OK, your sleep timer is set. ![]() You can choose to have the music go for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, or until the end of the track. This helps prevent screen burn-in, and keeps your computer from using more power than it needs to. Select how long you want your tunes to play. While the service does not automatically sync to users sleep patterns (our earthly technology is not that advanced), it allows users to stop playback after a set period has elapsed. The sleep timer in Windows 10 controls when your PC goes into 'Sleep' mode. Recently, however, Spotify has slowly rolled out a sleep timer for Android in the “Now Playing” menu that stops music playback after a set amount of time. ![]() Once you have selected time, you will get a confirmation saying, OK, your sleep timer is set., That’s it You are now good to go. There is also the option to stop the music from playing just after a single track ends. This means that you can set Spotify to quietly go to sleep for up to one hour after the music has started playing. These timers range from 5 minutes to an hour. Finally, set the Spotify sleep timer between 5 minutes to 1 hour. Pressing the Sleep Timer will reveal several timer options that you can use. Scroll down a bit and tap on Sleep Timer (with crescent moon icon). The feature wasn’t included for an inordinate amount of time, despite insistent requests from users of the streaming service Next up, tap on the three dots at the top right corner. ![]() It is after all, what mothers do when they sing lullabies to their loved ones and you would expect that Spotify, the music streaming service, would have long figured this out and included the “fading music” option as part of their original offering to service users. In a perfect world, everyone falls asleep while listening to good music playing in the background, which then fades with the intensity of sleep.
